This will pave the way for pornographic materials to be accessible on a cell phone. What has society come to today? Are we becoming so corrupt that we have to even have filth on our communication tools? Sweeping the internet isn't enough I guess.

"Intel's technology and BMW's prowess in the automotive sector are a powerful combination," says Daniel of the BMW group. Intel will be able to supply BMW workers with laptops for mobility, and in turn, BMW will implement global innovative IT systems. This partnership will help our community further our technological development.

Diana and James Oblinger's article "Educating the Net Generation" is about the people of this age called the "Net Generation." I am in that generation, the one where I can't remember not having a computer to type on, or the internet to look up information about a paper due. Just like the author, I get my news, the weather, driving directions, and even clothes off the internet without even realizing that it is irregular to the older generations. What will our generation be defined as? The author said, "Would we be defined by September 11 of the War on Terrorism?" We don't know, but this growing age where everything is done electronically and conveniently is ever-present in this new era of life.
The article "Growing Up Digital" by John Seely Brown talks about how the internet has exploaded in the last decade. In 1831, Faraday built a generator, but no one in their right mind back then could have guessed the monumental impact electricity has had upon life in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. In the same way, the World Wide Web has had the same type of explosion across the globe. The new technology astounds the people of this age, and I couldn't even begin to guess how the older generation feels about this new and ever-escalading discovery.
By searching through the "Classroom Web," I found many useful ideas in making my own web page when I become a teacher. For instance, I really liked how Mrs. Silverman and Miss Sowa's site used adorable little kid type font and hyperlinks. All the graphics made the page enticing to a child. I loved how Mrs. Healey had decorated her page for the holidays, with snowflakes showering down over the whole page. I'm excited about creating my own page for my students.
I read the article "The Digital Disconnect: A Recent Pew Study" by Glen and Gina Bull. In the article, Glen and Gina discuss the constant use of internet for kids. Four-fifths of teenagers ages 12-17 use the internet! Uses such as looking for online information, studying for an examination, collaborating on project work, and many more are reasons that students now use the internet. We are all connected around the world by this invisible cable wire called the internet, and really, it brings all the world closer together. It is a small world, after all :).
In the article "Learning Benefits of Incorporating Multimedia in the Classroom" by Samuel Besalel, he talks of how to incorporate technology in the classroom. Technology can be a frightening change for teachers who are not familiar with new ways of learning. Now, more than ever, adults are becoming used to this new way of life, using programs like Power Point, word-processing, spread sheets, etc. Integrating technology into the classroom can be very useful in assisting in the learning capabilities of the students.

The article "Special Technological Possibilities for Students with Special Needs" talks about using technology to help disabled children in the classroom. Using the eReader and Write: Outloud, which reads outloud to the students, helps the students to see their work as a unified whole so they can put words and sentences together. Using technology for special needs students will help them learn faster and effectively teach them learning concepts in the classroom.

The essay "Inspiration- Visual Learning" describes how effective visual learning is to developing children. I, personally, learn the concepts faster and better when I visually see the concepts being taught. For children, being able to see the concepts put into physical context helps them see that the information is real and they can relate and learn better from the information given.
In the essay "Learning for the 21st Century," it discusses the need to integrate 21st Century knowledge and skills into the educational system. Students need to be updated on new technology and how to correctly use them so they are not so naive as they enter the competitive work field and life in general. The need for children to learn 21st century skills is essential for their economic survival in our fast growing society.
